TASTING COLOR: a Seven Senses Feast is a sensorial dinner series, each curated to explore a specific color.
Curated by Sabrina Y. Smith, the series brings together local artists, artisans and makers, for a creative collaboration between food, design, art, and music.
The experience is based on Seven Senses color issue featuring Sophie Calle’s ‘Chromatic Diet’ photo series, which was inspired by a fictional character in Paul Auster’s novel ‘Leviathan,’ who only ate color-coordinated meals.
The Green edition featured a vegetarian menu of 7 green delights by Chef Tracy Tober, whose cooking portfolio includes collaborations and commissions with The Food Network, Cookbook Market and chefs Sonoko Sakai, Gordon Ramsay, Lora Zarubin, and Grace Bush-Vineberg.
The food was served on green ceramics by Salt Ceramics, immersed within a table decor of vegetal and floral installations. Guests took home a green fragrance by local perfumer D.Grayi and a vegetal pigment painting and Spring-inspired haiku crafted by Sabrina Y. Smith.
